Two Twisted Cards

Good Morning Everyone.....

Well the sun is shining up here in sunny Yorkshire, doesn't it always put you in a good mood when the weather is good. We had a very busy weekend car shows, meals out, beer festivals and garden centres.... but sadly no crafting so I have set aside this morning while Phoebe is at nursery, to get some ideas together for my next class.

Before I start I wanted to share with you a double twisted easel card that I made for my sisters friend. I used the colours whisper white and pink pirouette, so it was really girly.
On one of the panels I stamped an image from the stamp set Forever Young, which I decorated with lots of gems. I must admit when i first saw this set I was too excite but now I cant but it down I just love it!!
On the second panel I made a scrunched flower using the blossom punch from the Summer mini, this punch is only available till the end of the month so get it while you can.

Inside I added the girls name which I stamped using the broadsheet alphabet set and cut out using the curly label punch.

Some coordinating ribbon, brads and designer paper finished of the look.

I also made this card with my ladies in one of my classes but used a different colour combo of very vanilla & cherry cobbler. the ladies were very pleased with their finished cards.

Well I hope you like todays cards, off to disappear into my craft room now.

Lots of Love

Top Note Set

Hello Everyone,

Well I have finally managed to find time to log on after returning from our hols last week, which were fab. The weather was cracking and we even made it down to the beach a couple of days. I thought that Phoebe was going to explode with excitement when we got to Peppa Pig World she absolutely loved it, although after four hours of listening to the Peppa Pig theme tune both myself and Richard were thoroughly done in. How those guys manage to work there every day I don't know they deserve a medal!!

Anyway back to crafting, today I am going to share with you a gift set we made in one of our classes using the top note die.

This set was made using the colour comb Old Olive and Elegant Eggplant, a lovely mix I think.

The card was made by cutting 2 top note and joining them with a card in the middle. I made a little clasp to fasten it and decorated it using some old olive scalloped ribbon and a butterfly from the butterfly embosslet.
Finally I added a flower made using the fun flowers die, embossed the petals and added a coordinating button.

The little bag was again made using 2 top notes which I covered with some paisley prints designer paper. The bag inner was made using have an envelope with a few clever folds. Again the bag was decorated using some coordinating ribbon, butterfly and a die cut flower. I added a little greeting and used the jewelry tag punch.

I hope you like this project, I have lots more to share with you from my recent classes but I will have to save that for another day as the ironing basket is unfortunately calling me. Oh well once through that I can start my prep for next weeks class yipee.

Lots of Love

How Time Flies....

Well we have been busy bees this week. husband decided to rig me from work at 11am to say that we would be going camping at 5pm...... Well thanks for the advance notice honey! Antway a few mad hours rushing around and I managed to get the shopiing, packing and car loaded up just in time for him arriving home, def earnt some brownie points there. Anyway we had a fab weekend with some great friends.

Today I am posting a couple of cards that i have made this week. This first one is for my Gorgeous Little Girl Phoebe who I cant quite believe it but she will be 3 tomorrow. How time has flown, she is turning into such a little comedian with a love of shoes, all things girly and crafting. I cant possibly imagine where she gets it from :)

I made this card along with Phoebe, who was too excited to sleep! Using colour combo so saffron, rose regal and the stamp set Little Princess..... very apt. Phoebe loved I wonder if she will recognise it in the morning.

The second card and gift card holder I made for a wedding we are going to next week.

For this card I used a colour combo of crumb cake and chocolate chip. I used a small amount of Mocha Morning designer paper and some coordinating ribbon. The flower on the front was made using the blossom punch, from the summer mini, and secured with an antique brad.

To make the Mr and Mrs stand out I embossed them in gold and cut out the letters using thecurly label punch. I hope Mr & Mrs Huntington like it! I made the coordinating gift card holder using another piece of Mocha Morning paper and a few simply folds.

Anyway must shoot have to back for our trip down south to Peppa Pig World........ why do I do this to myself:)

Very Excited....

Well not the best of weather this morning, I guess no camping again this weekend :(

Anyway I have some very excited news I have recruited the first two members of the Obees Crafters Team YEAH!!!!! Two of the lovely ladies who attend my fortnightly classes wanted to purchase some of the lovely Stampin' Up! products, and due to the value of their order approx £100, they decided to take advantage of the starter pack offer and will receive an extra £30 of products. A bit of a no brainer really.

So the Obees Crafters Story begins, A massive welcome to Kathy & Celia xx

I have a freind who is a bit under the weather at the moment so I made this card to hopefully cheer her up!

I made tthe doctor and nurse using the owl punch. I just love how versitile this punch is you can make so many different things with it.

Off to prep for a few classes now before I go and pick my little whirlwind up from nursery at lunch time, have a good Wednesday!

A Special Place

Today I wanted to share with you a little project that is very special to me as it includes an element that was the very first thing I learnt to make at my very first Stampin up craft class! The flower made from punched butterflies! It was also the first thing I demonstrated when I ventured out doing my own classes.....

The colour combo I used here was perfect plum and rich razzleberry.

The first card was created by stamping the large image from the Paisley Petals stamp set, in versa mark ink onto the rich razzleberry card. I am not sure if the picture really pics this up but it gives a lovely watermark effect. I then used a small piece of coordinating designer paper, cream velvet ribbon and a few pearls.

The second card I have stamp onto some perfect plum card to create my own backing paper, again using the paislet petals stamp set and versa mark ink. A small piece of paisley prints designer paper I think really makes this card pop. I stamped an image onto white card using perfect plum ink and daubed the edges.

Now onto my much beloved flower! This was created using 4 punched butterflies. Each one was sprayed with water and scrunched up. They were the secured with a gem brad a very effective yet simple technique I love it.

Well I am off to pack the car up now as I have a card class this aft in Selby with 7 lovely ladies. Anyone interested in coming along and joining us please get in touch.

Hoping to get away camping this weekend but looking at the weather is isnt looking too likely AGAIN, not managed to make it away once yet this year not a happy camping bunny....

Well I'm back....

Well firstly I must apologise for the lack of posts over the last 2 weeks..... But I have just landed back in the country after spending 10 fab days in a very sunny Ibiza. Ate too much, drank too much but had a blooming good time :)

Anyway today I thought I would share with you a couple of cards I made for a guy I work with, they were for his teenage daughters so I tried to keep them quite modern looking.

The first card is made using one of my favourite colour combinations black and melon mambo.

I used the broadsheet alphabet stamp set to stamp the name, a freebie I received for completing my stampin start woo hoo. If you would like info on you too could receive fab freebies like this please get in touch.
Finally to finish the card off a bit of black spotty ribbon and an embossed plower using the fin flowers die.

The second card uses the colour comb old olive and elegant eggplant.

Again I used the broadsheet alphabet to stamp the name and cut out the letters using the circle punch. The flowers were stamped using a hostess stamp set and a few coodinating buttons.
Anyway I must go now and attack the mountain of washing I have, it would rival Ben Nevis! Sorry for the short post but I will be back again soon.

A Card for Mum.....

I hope you are all having a fab weekend. This is a little card I made for my Mum, she has been really ill recently and I really hope she gets better soon as my and Phoebe are missing our shopping buddy :)

The colours used to create this card are very vanilla, bashful blue & crumb cake. I used the top note die, a well used favourite of mine, and stamped it using the flourish from the everything eleanor stamp set. I then created the flowers by punching out circles, cutting them into swirls and wrapping then around a pair of scissors, I was pretty pleased with how these turned out. the broadsheet stamp set was used to stamp out MUM in chocolate chip ink and I cut out the letters using the small frame punch. I finished the card off with a dies cut flourish and some blue butterflies created using the butterfly embosslet.
Finally I gathered up some crochet ribbon to give the card a vintage feel.

Enjoy the rest of your long weekend..... I love the fact that the Queen chose to have her party on a Tuesday one of the 2 days that a work, bonus an extra day off for me, YIPEE

Love Hayley x
